What is a call volunteer?

Call Volunteers are individuals who dedicate their time to making or receiving phone calls on behalf of an organization, often a nonprofit, charity, or support service. Their main responsibilities may include providing information, offering support, conducting outreach, or following up with clients and donors. Call Volunteers play a crucial role in maintaining communication, offering empathy, and ensuring that important messages reach the intended recipients. This volunteer position typically requires good communication skills, patience, and a willingness to help others.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a call volunteer?

To excel as a Call Volunteer, you need strong verbal communication skills, active listening abilities, and a genuine desire to help others, often supported by basic training in call handling or crisis intervention.
