A comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, a 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer matching contributions, paid time off (PTO) policy, paid holidays, disability coverage, and life insurance options Career growth opportunities at GardaWorld Uniform provided at no cost Responsibilities Monitor intrusion alarms and access control systems and respond according to established procedures Monitor cameras and conduct camera checks for alarm verification and routine requests Receive and respond to calls from teammates regarding alarms, access issues, and general security questions Provide assistance with access to facilities in accordance with established protocols Evaluate alarm events using available information, including video systems, to verify activity, reduce false alarms, and make informed decisions on dispatching law enforcement or escalating incidents in accordance with established procedures Perform alarm verification activities designed to minimize unnecessary dispatches while ensuring timely response to legitimate security events Prioritize and manage multiple alarms, calls, and events based on severity and potential impact Provide basic troubleshooting assistance for access control and alarm-related issues as appropriate Accurately document incidents, actions taken, and communications in designated systems Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for alarm handling, escalation, and reporting Adhere to all organizational security policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements Maintain confidentiality of sensitive security information, access credentials, and operational procedures in accordance with organizational policies Escalate unusual or high-risk situations to the appropriate Tier 2 security personnel Communicate clearly and professionally with teammates and team members Represent the security team in a professional manner when interacting with teammates and stakeholders Coordinate activities with other PSOC operators to ensure continuous coverage Conduct thorough shift handoffs to ensure continuity of operations and awareness of ongoing incidents Maintain situational awareness and remain alert to potential security issues at all times Meet established performance expectations for alarm response, call handling, and documentation quality Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Proficiency with computers and the ability to work across multiple systems simultaneously Ability to type and document information clearly and accurately Comfortable handling phone calls and interacting with teammates Ability to work effectively in a monitored and controlled environment Ability to follow procedures while applying sound judgment when appropriate Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree 2-5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Security operations or monitoring Alarm monitoring or dispatch Call center or customer support Customer service or branch operations In the United States, GardaWorld Security remains the only guarding security company to be Certified by Great Place to Work
