Job description

The Vice President(VP), - Data Center Services(DCS) will play a key leadership role in ensuring the successful sourcing and delivery of complex infrastructure projects within the data center environment. This position requires strong business development, operational acumen, leadership, and technical expertise in managing mission-critical infrastructure, including power, space, frame & environmental control, and ISP/OSP copper & fiber installation and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in Critical Infrastructure/Data Center construction, maintenance, and service delivery, and will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence across multiple functions.
This role will focus on sourcing projects and maintaining efficient operational workflows, overseeing project execution, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring that client expectations are met with high-quality and timely deliverables. The VP of DCS, will serve as the key liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring the alignment of Centerline's operational capabilities with client needs.
What you will do:
  • Collaborate with the EVP, Revenue & Business Development and executive team to establish operational goals, KPIs, and performance benchmarks for service delivery.
  • Lead project sourcing objectives in collaboration with the BD and Ops teams
  • Lead and manage day-to-day operational functions of Data Center infrastructure projects across multiple locations and teams.
  • Ensure consistent execution of installation and maintenance services for critical infrastructure including power, space planning, environmental control, and fiber (ISP/OSP) systems.
  • Develop and maintain operational processes, procedures, and best practices to drive efficiency, safety, and quality assurance.
  • Oversee project lifecycle management from planning and resourcing through execution and closeout.
  • Coordinate with estimating, engineering, and field teams to develop technical scopes of work and ensure timely, cost-effective execution.
  • Ensure adherence to project budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
  • Utilize Salesforce or similar CRM/project management platforms to track and manage operational pipeline and project milestones.
  • Provide high-level client support and issue resolution throughout the service delivery lifecycle.
  • Partner with business development and account teams to support operational feasibility assessments and cross-functional planning.
  • Lead and mentor a diverse team of operations managers, project managers, field staff, and support personnel.
  • Continuously evaluate tools, systems, and technologies to improve service delivery and operational performance.

What you will need:
  • 5-10 years of experience in data center infrastructure operations, project management, or construction management.
  • Deep technical and operational knowledge of data center systems and critical infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex infrastructure projects with large-scale clients in the data center industry.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to develop scopes of work and collaborate cross-functionally with estimating, sales, and field teams.
  • Proficiency in operational tools such as Salesforce, project scheduling tools, and reporting dashboards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and deliver results under tight deadlines.

Supervisory Responsibility:
The Vice President will manage all employees of their department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
  • This is full-time exempt position.
  • Days of work are Monday through Friday.
  • Some evenings/weekends will be required.

Travel
  • Nationwide travel to other markets as needed (up to 50%)
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable under the company insurance policy.

The pay range for this position is 150,000-175,000. However, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience (in addition to medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered). This information is provided per the California Equal Pay Act. Base pay information is based on the market location.
