Job description

MANTECH seeks a motivated, customer-oriented Project Control Specialist to help support our current Marine Corps Contract in Stafford, VA. This work is dedicated program management support for all General Purpose Tools and Test Systems (GPTTS) programs and dedicated program management support for Calibration and Maintenance Program (CAMP).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide programmatic and analytical support with execution and management of acquisition programs in various acquisition phases as defined under the DoD 5000.  This includes experience ensuring adherence to master plans and schedules and developing solutions to program problems.

  • Assist the Project Office with execution and management of cost, schedule and performance parameters.

  • Provide acquisition expertise and development/maintenance of acquisition documentation, presentation/briefing materials, coordination and action item tracking, and general day-to-day support of programmatic activities.

  • Assist the program office support with procurement planning and prepare, Market Research Memorandums, Performance Work Statements, Statements of Work, Commercial Item Determination letters, Acquisition Plans, and Single Acquisition Management Plans.

  • Support the program office with the following duties:  prepare agendas, prepare and present materials, record meeting minutes, develop executive summaries and capture and track action items at meetings in support of all GPTTS-C programs.

  • Support the program office with the following tasks: develop, update, brief, and maintain government Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) in support of program efforts.  The current IMS tool is MS Project.

  • Assist the program office with collecting, collaborating and maintaining updates into the government’s risk management tool system, conduct risk reporting, and status reporting in support of program management and risk management events.  The current risk management tool is Project Recon.

  • Coordinate and attend meetings and conferences, capture and prepare meeting minutes, provide presentation/ briefing support and annotate tasks and action items, track and remind personnel with actions and ensure the task tracker is updated after each meeting, to include In Process Reviews, Program Management Reviews, Integrated Product Team meetings, Systems Engineering Technical Reviews, professional forums, and other working group (WG) meetings.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience supporting DoD programs that rely on the Integrated Defense AT&L Lifecycle Management Framework.

  • Knowledge of DoD/USMC procedures and policies in support of acquisition, logistics, and fielding activities including the preparation of military acquisition documentation, technical documentation, and data entry in spreadsheets and databases.

  • Extensive knowledge with Microsoft Office Tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Associate Program Management Professional (CAPM) or DAU Level 1 certification in Program Management.

  • Knowledge in leading analytical efforts on highly complex and mission specific operational problems.

  • Directing and collaborating with technical teams on operational and/or developmental projects throughout the system life cycle (development of requirements to final delivery).

  • Must have expertise in developing and managing Integrated Master Schedules for the DoD.

  • Must have expertise in assisting a Program Management Office with Task Books and Work Breakdown Schedules.

  • Must have experience leading DoD Acquisitions professionals supporting varying competencies (e.g., Systems Engineering, Logistics, Finance, Program Analysis).

  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office tools

Clearance Required:

  • Must have an active DoD TS/SCI Clearance
