Job description

Almac Group is currently seeking a Calibration Supervisor for our Souderton, PA location. The Calibration Supervisor will be responsible for the execution of all PA equipment and instrumentation calibrations. Supervise the calibration staff and delegate work assignments as required to ensure continuous operation of equipment while maintaining regulatory compliance on behalf of each of the Almac Business Units located in PA.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for ensuring all calibration activities are scheduled and executed prior to their due date in accordance with all SOPs and regulatory requirements. Delegate work assignments to the calibration staff, including routine calibrations, unplanned calibrations, temperature mapping and any other necessary tasks. Support change management and required quality documentation as required to maintain the validated state of equipment and instrumentation.
  • Responsible for the calibration SOP activities and associated risk assessment process. Provide calibration subject matter expertise and technical details as required to thoroughly complete calibration risk assessments and make responsible recommendations to the end users.
  • Responsible for the calibration staff and contractors to ensure all calibration activities are coordinated into the operational schedules efficiently and effectively as required to limit operational downtime while ensuring calibrations have been completed and documented prior to the due date. Responsible for accurately reviewing and approving calibration work orders and certificates.
  • Responsible for supporting the calibration budget, finding cost savings while maintaining compliancy and an effective program. Support the contractor service agreements ensuring that the contractor upholds the agreement and provides good value for money.
  • Responsible for the health and safety program within the calibration team including core risk assessments and equipment risk assessments. Ensure risk assessment training for staff and contractors maintain compliancy.
Qualifications:
Required Experience / Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical training in electronics and/or controls
  • Technical understanding and 3 + years of experience in performing calibration activities of equipment and devices
  • 2 years of calibration program support
Preferred Experience / Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Calibration within a cGMP environment
  • Employee supervision
