Calibration Technician
We are currently looking for a Calibration Technician for our Duluth, GA lab. This Calibration Technician will work in the Calibration Laboratory. Calibration of a wide variety of sound and vibration electronic equipment and transducers. Part of a quality minded high performing team. We are responsible to ensure our customers complete satisfaction and to meet their needs.
Location: Duluth, GA
Primary responsibilities
• Evaluate and Calibrate instrumentation and transducers from external and internal customers.
• Provide Customer support using e mail or telephone when necessary.
• Prepare, plan and perform Field Service Calibration when assigned.
• Generate legible supporting Certificates and other Test Documentation.
• Operate and maintain semi automatic test systems for Calibration.
• Make prompt entries in Service Program to provide up to date status.
• Build calibration reports and certificates.
• Request needed parts and supplies for calibration laboratory use.
• Notify Quality Manager regarding necessary revisions and updates of test documentation to include forms, certificate forms, and procedures.
• Train other calibration technicians when assigned.
• Maintain and protect customer instruments and transducers.
• Maintain and preserve calibration facilities to include, instrumentation and transducers, work and storage areas and calibration and test records.
• Maintain general housekeeping of Laboratory areas.
• Use and maintain Quality and Technical Documentation as required by Quality Management System.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Technical or military service school training in the calibration of Instrumentation and transducers.
• PMEL Calibration Training a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in calibration and/or repair.
• Team Player
• Ability to multitask, adapt to changing environment
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Requires high level of professional ethics and appreciation of teamwork
• Must be willing to cross train in all functions of Calibration Laboratory
• Be willing to do tasks that are needed to maintain an effective incoming and outgoing schedule to meet strict deadlines.
Ways to stand out from the crowd
• Working knowledge of a variety of software applications such as MSWord, Excel and Outlook
• SAP and/or Salesforce CRM knowledge
• Team player with the ability to multitask and cross train
