We're pleased to partner with our client on their search for a Laboratory Manager (referred to as a Branch Manager within their organization).

Your day to day.'

This is a full-time, on-site Laboratory Manager role based in Milwaukee. For this client, the Laboratory Manager also serves as the Branch Manager, overseeing all day‐to‐day laboratory operations. This includes managing equipment, supervising laboratory staff, and ensuring compliance with all quality and regulatory standards.

  • In this role, the Laboratory Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the calibration lab, including scheduling and coordinating the calibration activities, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Ensuring the accuracy and reliability of calibration services is essential. You will implement and maintain quality control procedures, monitor calibration processes, and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Business Development: As a Branch Manager, you will play a key role in driving business growth. This involves identifying new business opportunities, developing marketing strategies, and collaborating with sales teams to expand the customer base.
  • Safety and Compliance: Maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations is critical. You will implement safety protocols, conduct regular safety inspections, and address any compliance issues.
  • KPI Management
  • The Laboratory Manager is also responsible for accurate data analysis and reporting to support organizational goals.
  • You will support all client needs and work closely with the Business Development Manager, Key Account Managers, and other members of leadership to ensure seamless service delivery and operational excellence.

Position requirements'

  • Proven P&L management experience
  • driving continuous process improvements.
  • Strong leadership background
  • Experience working within a testing laboratory environment
  • Experience in an accredited laboratory setting
  • Forecasting and budgeting experience
  • Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to create and utilize pivot tables
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage customer relationships and support key accounts
  • Experience working in military laboratory environments is considered a plus
  • Relocation is available for the right candidate.

Salary DOE- $ 105,000- $125,000
