SUMMARY:

Supervises the overall operation of the cage and monitors the performance of cashier personnel. Oversees all monetary transactions and paperwork during the assigned shift. Directs the activities and safeguards the assets of the cage. Responsible and accountable for the operation of the Cage and Vault.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Verifies funds of cashiers in cage area and performs all related functions.
  • Accountable for all transactions in Cage area.
  • Monitors, documents, and counsels cashiers.
  • Handles guest disputes, questions and acts as source of information.
  • Maintains the confidentially of all guests' records and transactions.
  • Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and Golden Eagle Casino policies in an ethical manner.
  • Ensures that all Currency Transaction Reporting (Title 31) regulations are enforced.
  • Verifies deposit.
  • Communicates to the Cage Manager any non-routine activities occurring during their respective shift.
  • Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages the vault supervisors and other shift employees of the cage.
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this department.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Golden Eagle Casino's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include training team members; assigning, and directing work; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or GED required.

Years of experience in casino cage operations

SPECIAL SKILL/EXPERIENCE:

Excellent communication skills

Customer service skills a must

Must be proficient at math

Previous experience supervising 5 to 10 people
