Seeking interested individuals that want to work a -

4 hour shift - Multiple shifts available

Starting pay is $15 per hour ย

Summary of Position:

Provide support to the food services department at an assigned location with specific responsibilities for preparing and serving food to students and other personnel while maintaining safe and sanitary conditions.ย This position sits in Westfield, IN 46074.

Qualifications:

Ability to safely and properly operate equipment found in commercial kitchens

Ability to adhere to safety practices

Ability to read and follow recipes (multi-step written and oral instructions)

Possess basic cooking and cleaning skills

Sensitivity and respect for people of various backgrounds, cultures, experiences, and socioeconomic situations

Must be able to obtain a food handler's card within 2 weeks of hire as well as successful completion of background check/clearance if applicable

Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook food according to standardized recipes, production records and Kitchen Lead, Food Service Director, and/or other on-site/visiting Management instruction.

Serves meals to students, staff, parents, etc. and ensures lines are stocked.

Ensures quality of prepared food based on Westfield Washington standards and mandated health standards.

Maintains equipment, serving utensils, storage areas, food preparation and serving areas in a sanitary condition.

Inventories food, condiments, supplies, etc.

Assist with receiving, checking temperatures, and putting away deliveries.

Ensure the kitchen is sanitary at the end of the day to include but not limited to dishwashing, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing work/prep/serving stations, dusting, etc.

Merchandises food and beverage items according to Westfield Washington standards.

Follow all safety protocols.

Cross train in all roles of the cafeteria and fill in when needed to ensure staff coverage and smooth service (i.e. cashiering, serving, cooking).

Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Ability to speak, read, write and understand English and/or dominate language at the school

Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 7 hours)

Be physically able to lift, reach, bend and stoop frequently lift up to 30 pounds
