PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Greet customers as they enter and exit the Café
  • Create and serve food and beverage items
  • Promote daily specials and encourage upgrades to each order
  • Operate cash register, process payments through cash or credit card handling and/or member account charges
  • Café opening and/or closing duties, as required
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment according to State and Local food safety standards
  • Understand and anticipate the needs of our members and guests; be attentive, listen carefully and follow through; provide exceptional customer service
  • Communicate timely and follow up as appropriate
  • Active participation in events, programs, meetings and training
  • Represent the club in a professional manner through image, dress, communication, and immediate follow through and response
  • Schedule varies and may require weekend and holiday hours, days and evenings

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Ability to read/understand, analyze, and interpret general training manuals, professional journals, or technical procedures; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from children, managers, Associates, members, and the general public.
Ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum one (1) year of Customer Service experience (food service industry experience preferred)
  • State Food Handler Certification
  • Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) state certification
  • Professional, friendly manner and excellent customer service attitude and abilities
  • Strong verbal communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Enthusiastic, responsible, and dependable team player
  • Self-motivated, takes initiative, anticipate the needs of others and willing to acquire new skills
