We believe in creating relationships with our staff, as we believe it is the building block for a thriving business. As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for taking orders, providing excellent customer service, making food and smoothies, prepping food with accurate measuring and weighing, stocking, and clean-up. You will also have the opportunity to train new team members, delegate and run scheduled shifts and crews, as well as completing inventory and day-to-day banking.
Being a Tropical Smoothie Café Assistant Manager involves all aspects of the following:
Our priority is customer service! Assistant Managers must be friendly and professional towards customers and aspire and encourage our crews to be as well. Assistant Managers must be People Friendly!
Food Preparation. Assistant Managers will be trained to prepare food for use in the front of the house stations.
Assistant Managers will be trained to complete orders (food and smoothies) according to our recipes or as customers request. All orders are made fresh.
Assistant Managers will be trained to take accurate orders from our guests and ensure all crew can as well.
Assistant Managers will handle day-to-day banking responsibilities such as going over deposits and getting change orders.
Assistant Managers will be trained on labor. How to control it and the expectations to do so.
Assistant Managers will be trained to restock supplies and keep the flow of service running efficiently.
Assistant Managers will be trained on cafe inventory as well as ordering and placing truck orders bi-weekly.
CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN. Assistant Managers will be trained on how to keep the café in tip top shape at all times completing both daily and weekly tasks to ensure a clean and healthy cafe.
Assistant Managers will be trained and eventually able to train crew members on the essential duties of the job.
Assistant Managers should be able to delegate their time accordingly and the time of the team members working under them to keep the shift productive and efficient.
Friendly People Person! Assistant Managers will not be trained how to be a friendly people person. You must already have that quality.
Being a Tropical Smoothie Cafe Assistant Manager requires:
Reliable transportation to and from work.
At least 1 year of experience in a supervisor or management position.
Ability to lead and direct a team.
Ability to provide unparalleled hospitality to our customers.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to handle conflict and defuse any situations that may arise.
