  • Assist with apartment turns, repairs, and unit inspections
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, plumbing, and appliance issues
  • Help maintain community grounds, amenities, and common areas
  • Work with vendors and maintenance team to complete larger projects
  • Ensure all work complies with safety guidelines and company standards
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and supply inventory
  • Communicate clearly with residents and team members to ensure satisfaction

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Required:

  • Basic knowledge of apartment maintenance tasks (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances)
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Availability to work Saturdays (closed Sundays) and participate in on-call rotation as needed
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in apartment, facilities, or building maintenance
  • HVAC certification or EPA license (a plus, not required)
  • Bilingual abilities

What You’ll Get
CAF offers one of the most competitive benefits packages in the industry—because we believe when we take care of you, you can take care of everything else.

  • Commission opportunities based on performance
  • 15 Paid Holidays (including CAF Impact Day)
  • PTO based on tenure:
  • 0–4 years: 15 days
  • 5–9 years: 20 days
  • 10–14 years: 25 days
  • 15+ years: 30 days
  • 3 Flex Days per year
  • Medical, Dental & Vision (employee medical starts at $65/month)
  • 401(k) with company contributions (after 6 months)
  • Paid Parental Leave (10 days)
  • 30–50% Employee Housing Discount (after 30 days, if applicable)
  • Recognition programs and a people-first culture

Physical Requirements
This role requires frequent physical activity and mobility around the apartment community. Team members must be able to safely perform the following tasks:

  • Physical activities (50% to 100%):

  • Climb stairs and ladders (e.g., inspecting units, accessing rooftops or crawl spaces)
  • Push/pull, stand, and walk (e.g., moving equipment, transporting tools)
  • Reach above shoulders (e.g., changing lights, accessing HVAC units)
