This is a Sherman Associates owned Starbucks licensed location.

This position contributes to Starbucks success by providing legendary customer service to all customers. This job creates the Starbucks Experience for our customers by providing customers with prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. Barista must be friendly, courteous, professional, and demonstrate strong communication skills. Must be able to manage multiple priorities, think/act quickly and effectively while maintaining self-composure.

Schedule: We are currently seeking part-time / full-time availability to include both weekdays and weekends.

Pay: $16.37/hour + tips!

Essential Functions

  • Uses the cash register to ring orders.
  • Provide quality hand-crafted beverages, whole bean and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
  • Interacts with all customers in a friendly/fast manner.
  • Ensures the cleanliness and smooth operation of the store (wipes tables, sweeps floors, throws garbage away, and straightens out tables, maintains cleanliness in public restrooms: clean mirror and sink, sweep, stock soap, hand towels, and toilet paper).
  • Follows operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift.
  • Maintains a clean and organized workspace so that partners can locate resources and product as needed.
  • Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
  • Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team.
  • Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
  • Completes other tasks and duties as assigned based on business needs.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Restaurant/coffee shop experience strongly preferred.
  • Previous customer service experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
