Job Summary
We are seeking an AV/LV Technician to join our team. In this role, you will install, set up, and maintain equipment. Your responsibilities will include pulling, terminating, testing, and labeling low-voltage cabling, installing Audio-Visual, Telecommunications, and/or Security/Access Control Systems; troubleshooting equipment malfunctions; setting up and operating equipment; and coordinating with internal and client teams. The ideal candidate is creative, reliable, and has an excellent understanding of cabling, AV, LV, Security systems equipment and software. Ability to travel within the NYC/NY, NJ, and CT area with a valid driver's license 
Pay $27-$30/hr. 
Part-time position, but may be up to 40 hours a week depending on job/project schedules
Responsibilities 
  • Where applicable, pull, terminate, Test, label, and Identify Cabling (CAT-6, CAT-6A, Speaker Cable, Coax SDI/RF, Fiber) on site either during construction rough-in phase or in a finished space
  • Receive deliveries, inventory on site, provide status updates to project Team 
    • Install TVs, Data Cabling, Speakers, Cameras, Screens, and Basic Troubleshooting. Maintain a clean site/work area. 
    • TVs/Displays, Mounts, Projectors, Speakers, Cameras, endpoints, and other devices.
    • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and report equipment conditions to the team
  • Clean and maintain equipment in excellent working condition
  • Keep accurate records of equipment/cable/accessories inventory
  • Experience in Audio-Video/Telecom/Data is preferred but not necessary. 
  • On-the-job training and online training/certification courses will be provided. 
  • OSHA 30 Card preferred - will provide OSHA training if necessary.

  • Overtime time, time-and-a-half eligible after 40 hours of straight time worked within 1 week or Saturday work; double time available for sundays/holidays
  • Tool Stipend after 45 days of employment for work-related tools that are to be used on jobs, hand tools, workbag, and cordless tools. Must produce receipts for tools to receive a $375 Stipend. We have a tool-recommendation list that will be shared within the onboarding process; the list of tools tried by our team is updated to allow for the high quality of work we produce. 
  • Reimbursement of job-related expenses must be submitted and approved by management. 
  • If eligible, OSHA 30 and SST Training must be completed within 14 days of employment.
  • Training such as certifications for termination, cable, or tool handling will be done online/remotely, in our office, or at vendor facilities. Online/Off-Site Training will be provided when working directly with certain manufacturers' equipment that requires training.
  • Bonus Eligible, given at the discretion of management.

Qualifications
