Job Summary:

National Technologies (NTI) is seeking a Market Manager – Business Development to lead strategic growth across the New York Metro region, focused primarily on commercial, enterprise, municipal, data center, fiber, and transportation infrastructure opportunities.  This role will serve as NTI’s front-line market leader, responsible for identifying, positioning, and securing low-voltage and telecommunications infrastructure opportunities throughout New York City, Northern New Jersey, and the broader Northeast corridor.

The ideal candidate possesses deep relationships within the NYC construction and union ecosystem, understands upcoming project pipelines before public release, and can successfully position NTI within owner, consultant, and GC decision-making networks.  This individual will work closely with executive leadership, operations, estimating, and national account teams to translate local relationships into executable revenue opportunities.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Market Development & Relationship Leadership

  • Establish NTI as a trusted infrastructure partner within the IBEW Local 3 commercial construction ecosystem.
  • Leverage existing relationships across owners, developers, general contractors, construction managers, engineering firms, and union leadership.
  • Identify upcoming projects across NYC and surrounding markets prior to formal bid release.
  • Develop strong engagement with decision makers across:
    • Commercial developers
    • Municipal agencies
    • Transit authorities
    • Aviation authorities
    • Enterprise clients
    • General Contractors & CM firms
    • Electrical contractors and integration partners

Opportunity Identification & Sales Execution

  • Expand NTI’s presence beyond traditional fiber scopes into:
    • Structured cabling (copper & fiber)
    • Rack & stack deployments
    • Inside plant infrastructure
    • Network modernization
    • Security, DAS, and ELV systems
  • Identify underrepresented providers and enterprise customers requiring infrastructure services.

Regional Data Center Engagement

  • Support expansion into New Jersey and Upstate New York data center markets.
  • Develop relationships with operators and developers supporting hyperscale and enterprise deployments.
  • Coordinate with national account teams to align local execution with hyperscale pursuits.

Job Skills and Requirements:

  • Deep understanding of NYC commercial construction market dynamics
  • Strong working knowledge of IBEW Local 3 contracting environment
  • Proven relationship network within NYC developers, GCs, CMs, or enterprise owners
  • Technical familiarity with:
    • Structured cabling (fiber & copper)
    • Low voltage systems
    • Inside plant & enterprise infrastructure
    • DAS, security, and ELV systems
  • Understanding of GC-led, CM-led, and owner-direct procurement models
  • Comfortable operating within active construction and live facilities

Education & Experience

  • 5+ years’ business development or market leadership experience within:
    • Commercial construction
    • Telecommunications infrastructure
    • Low voltage / technology integration
    • Enterprise or municipal infrastructure markets
  • Demonstrated success working within union labor environments (IBEW preferred)
  • Existing NYC Metro industry relationships strongly preferred

Work Location & Travel

  • Virtual Home Office - with expectation of visiting office for team meetings, customer presentations and collaboration. Very limited overnight travel due to geographic focus.
