AWG seeks a Machine Operator to report to the Cutting Manager. The MO will come in with excellent people, machine and team skills and will work hard to improve productivity.


Core Responsibilities:

The MO will:

  • Report to work on time and ready to assist with warehouse activities.
  • Comply with company attendance point system.
  • Maintain the warehouse in an orderly and clean state.
  • Wear appropriate PPE and safety gear consistently.
  • Focus on safety within the Warehouse; follow all company safety procedures and perform daily safety inspections on machinery before operating it.
  • Perform those physical requirements necessary to lift and move inventory around
    the warehouse.
  • Move material with RF scanner when physically moving it within the warehouse.
  • Operate forklift to retrieve material for cutting department and place cut reels back into
  • Operate forklift to transport finished cuts to shipping department.
  • Operate wire cutting machines to cut and re-spool cable for customer orders.
  • Ensure that wire cutting area around machine in use is always clean and bring up any
    concerns to the cutting supervisor.
  • Keep cutting area clean and organized, use all equipment (hand tools, power equipment.
    ) in the department properly with PPE when required, and return to their assigned
    areas when no longer in use.
  • Ensure all customer requirements are met (packaging, reel markings, etc.).
  • Record all cut and scrap quantities.
  • Rework and scrap damaged cable.
  • Continue to develop and build processes, techniques, and strategies to improve workflow.
  • Assist during Inventory.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
