Job Description
Job Summary/Objective:
Drum Twist Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient and successful operation of our Drum Twist machine on a variety of cable designs, both copper and aluminum. Operator will oversee the process of the line to ensure proper SOP is being followed and no defective product makes it to the next operation.
Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for the proper setup, changeover, and overall operation.
• Responsible for verifying correct reels, dies and tapes are loaded based on shop paperwork outlined by planning.
• Responsible for monitoring and adjusting various machine controls for a quality product.
• Responsible for completing and reporting all necessary quality checks.
• Responsible for accurate cut lengths of plexxed cable based on shop paperwork outlined by planning.
• Responsible for the proper labeling, staging and storage of bobbins.
• Completing required paperwork and Advaris transactions at the start, during and end of each run.
• Responsible for reporting all maintenance and quality issues to supervisor.
• Ability to sit/stand/move for up to 10 hours a day.
• Partner with internal resources on process improvements to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Report all incidents of Safety and Quality violations in support of a Culture of Zero.
• Responsible for maintaining general housekeeping.
