Cable Technician – Low Voltage

Location: Onsite – Large Commercial Facility

Type: Full-Time / Contract

Job Description

We are seeking a Cable Technician to work onsite inside a large commercial facility, supporting low-voltage cabling installations. This role involves structured cabling work in an active warehouse or data environment and requires adherence to strict safety and site procedures.

This is a hands-on position ideal for technicians with experience in pulling, terminating, and testing low-voltage cable.

Responsibilities

  • Install, pull, and route low-voltage cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a)
  • Terminate cables to patch panels, jacks, and racks
  • Perform basic cable testing and labeling
  • Work from ladders, lifts, and overhead pathways
  • Follow site safety rules and access procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Communicate with lead technicians and site supervisors

Required Experience

  • 1+ year of low-voltage or structured cabling experience
  • Experience pulling cable in commercial or warehouse environments
  • Familiarity with Cat5e/Cat6 cabling standards
  • Ability to read basic drawings or cabling layouts
  • Comfortable working on your feet for long periods
  • Able to pass a background check

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Large facility, warehouse, or data environment experience
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
  • Lift, scissor lift, or ladder experience

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to bend, crouch, and work overhead

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
