Responsibilities
Our client is seeking a VTC/AV Installer to support their law enforcement customer! The ideal candidate will have experience in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of video teleconferencing (VTC)/AV systems and will be proficient in handling various types of cabling and related hardware. The Installer will work closely with personnel and customers to ensure the successful implementation of VTC solutions.
  • Follow schematics for the installation of VTC/AV systems
  • Interpret installation drawings and design packages, applying that knowledge to cabling installation
  • Promote a safe work environment and implement safe work practices
  • Handle and install LC, MTRJ, and SC connector termination
  • Test fiber-optic and copper cabling systems for accuracy and reliability
  • Install various types of cable tray, PDS, and Electrical Metallic Tubing (EMT) conduit up to four (4) inches
  • Document any red-line changes to drawings accurately
  • Provide effective communication to ensure all installation work is understood and completed correctly
  • Manage property inventory for both SWE and VTC programs
  • Coordinates and manages delivery dates on requisitions.
  • Document organizational or operational procedures.
  • Be highly motivated, work independently, and have good written and oral communication skills.
  • Train team members in proper inventory methods.
  • Prepare Inventory reports and reports what comes in and goes out on a weekly basis
  • Prepare Activity Report to inform upper management.
  • Manage and monitor storage and warehouse facilities
  • Maintain and update property management databases

Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience installing AV and/or VTC systems
  • Proficiency in handling, installing, and testing fiber-optic and copper cabling systems
  • Experience in installing various types of cable tray, PDS, and EMT conduit up to four (4) inches
  • Ability to accurately document red-line changes to drawings
  • Effective communication skills
  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds on a regular basis

Clearance Requirements
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; an active Top Secret clearance is required with the ability to obtain a SCI.
