What is a Cabinet Connection?

A Cabinet Connection typically refers to a business or service that specializes in the design, supply, and installation of kitchen and bathroom cabinets. These companies help homeowners and contractors select cabinetry styles, finishes, and layouts that best meet their needs and preferences. Cabinet Connections often offer consultations, custom measurements, and professional installation services to ensure a seamless renovation process. They may also provide additional products like countertops, hardware, and accessories to complete the look.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Cabinet Installer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Cabinet Installer, you need proficiency in carpentry, measuring, blueprint reading, and familiarity with construction safety standards, typically demonstrated through experience or vocational training. Mastery of hand and power tools, as well as knowledge of installation hardware and materials, is essential, and some employers may require certification in construction or cabinetry. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and effective communication with clients and team members are valuable soft skills in this role. These competencies ensure precise installations, customer satisfaction, and safe, efficient project completion.

What are the typical collaboration points for a Cabinet Connection professional during a project?

As a Cabinet Connection professional, you’ll regularly collaborate with designers, contractors, and clients throughout each project phase. Early on, you’ll work with designers to finalize layout plans and material selections. During installation, coordination with contractors and installers is essential to ensure proper fit and finish. Frequent communication with clients helps address preferences and resolve any on-site concerns, making strong teamwork and interpersonal skills vital for success in this role.

Job description

Construction Superintendent - Luxury Custom Residential
Marion County, Florida

Our client is a privately held custom home builder specializing in luxury single-family residences valued at $5 million and above throughout Marion County and surrounding Central Florida markets.

WHY YOU WANT THIS OPPORTUNITY:

They are seeking a Superintendent who understands that luxury construction is about more than building a house. It is about delivering an exceptional experience for owners, architects, designers, craftsmen, and trade partners while maintaining quality, schedule, communication, and accountability throughout the process.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who wants to build distinctive custom residences, work directly with ownership, and become part of a growing organization committed to excellence.

This is not production homebuilding.

This is not managing dozens of houses at once.

This is an opportunity to oversee distinctive custom residences where craftsmanship, communication, and attention to detail matter.

YOU WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Lead day-to-day field operations for luxury custom residential projects from sitework through certificate of occupancy
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and consultants
  • Maintain project schedules and proactively identify potential delays
  • Conduct quality control inspections throughout all phases of construction
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with plans, specifications, and client expectations
  • Manage homeowner, architect, and designer interactions professionally and effectively
  • Maintain jobsite safety, cleanliness, and organization
  • Coordinate material deliveries and long-lead procurement items
  • Conduct subcontractor meetings and communicate project status to ownership
  • Track progress and maintain accurate daily reports

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

  • 5+ years of Superintendent experience in residential construction
  • Experience building custom homes valued at $2 million to $10 million+
  • Strong understanding of luxury finishes, millwork, stone, tile, cabinetry, and high-end residential details
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and construction documents
  • Experience coordinating multiple trades in occupied or highly visible environments
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Stable employment history demonstrating increasing responsibility

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:

  • Takes ownership of their projects
  • Communicates proactively rather than reactively
  • Understands the expectations of affluent homeowners
  • Holds subcontractors accountable while maintaining professional relationships
  • Thinks ahead and solves problems before they become issues
  • Takes pride in delivering exceptional quality

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Base Salary: Up to $125,000
  • Vehicle Allowance or Gas Card
  • Benefits
  • Long-Term Career Growth Opportunity
  • Location: Marion County, Florida. Relocation assistance may be considered for the right candidate.

If you have built luxury homes and want the opportunity to represent a builder committed to quality, we would like to speak with you.
