The Role
CAA is seeking a Lead Product Manager to join our Product Management team and act as a leader in CAA's IT organization.
As CAA continues to expand its footprint in the sport and entertainment industry and grow globally, we have an increasing need to implement applications supporting our diverse customers - clients, agents, executives, assistants, and business partners. The Product Management team is focused on implementing technology products to drive productivity and effectiveness of our customers. We are obsessed with delivering intuitive products that embody CAA's culture.
We seek a curious, creative, and experienced product manager. We are looking for individuals who are highly adaptable, who like solving problems and can drive clarity across diverse stakeholder groups. We seek a product manager who can lead products through the full lifecycle from defining the initial vision and product roadmap to implementing sustainable processes for ongoing product support and customer feedback.
Responsibilities

  • Quickly develop a deep understanding of products you will lead, including the business domains and workflows that these products support.

  • Manage products from vision to launch (and on-going support) delivering features iteratively to provide the expected business outcomes.

  • Collaborate and coordinate with other product managers in the team to ensure alignment across products and product lines.

  • Act as a leader in our cross-functional SAFe Agile Release Train (ART) and take on the roles of Feature Owner and Product Owner.

  • In the Scaled Agile ART, depending on the business needs and priorities in any given planning interval, this role may oversee the work of product managers, or report to another product manager with more domain experience.

  • Actively engage in relevant ART ceremonies (including PO Sync and PI Planning).

  • Over time, manage a team as a supervisor.

  • Take on a leading role in broader business and IT initiatives to support the continued growth of CAA.

  • Work with our UX/UI design team to design simple and intuitive product experiences.

  • Create product roadmaps and work closely with business leaders and our engineering and design teams to deliver new products and feature enhancements. Orchestrate the work of our engineers throughout the development cycle to deliver the highest quality products.

  • Work closely with our corporate stakeholders to ensure that compliance, data privacy, financial and HR requirements are represented during product development.

  • Have deep understanding and empathy for customer needs, using user research and creative feedback mechanisms to validate product hypotheses and optimal product solutions. This will include working with our Service Delivery team to elicit their input on new product features.

  • Be data-driven and use data to decide the best opportunities that deliver the most business impact.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in product management managing products at all stages of the digital product life cycle (early-stage products, mature digital products, and late-stage products) and accountable for the voice of the customers you support and the product(s) you own.

  • 4+ years' experience managing products using Scaled Agile practices (e.g. SAFe) and operating in Scrum-based Agile teams.

  • Experience in the Sports, Media and Entertainment industry is preferred.

  • Strong experience in Jira, Confluence, and GitHub.

  • Proficient with Chrome developer tools or similar in other browsers to test product features and troubleshoot issues.

  • Curious and eager to learn, especially about new business domains and workflows, and you are eager to expand your areas of expertise.

  • Experience handling sensitive company information and protecting systems and data through security awareness.

Location
This position will be based in our LA office with a minimum of 3 days a week in the office. Occasional travel including company meetings and events is expected.
Compensation
The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $154,000 - $180,000 in Los Angeles, CA. This position is also eligible for benefits and a discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in the role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
