Job description

Summary Job Description

This position is responsible for operating the CNC Router (Shoda) to produce high end furniture parts.

Essential Duties

  • Responsible for operating the CNC Router using programmed instructions
  • Sets up router to ensure parts are produced correctly, according to specifications
  • Makes minor adjustments to the machine
  • Installs correct tooling for each job
  • Counts and final inspects part for quality
  • Performs maintenance on router per PM list
  • Must follow all safety policies and procedures
  • Works as part of a team to meet or exceed production goals

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous machine operating experience required
  • Experience with woodworking machines for frame parts or veneered parts a plus

  • Prolonged periods of standing; sitting, walking, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, and twisting throughout shift
  • Must be able to work in noisy environments
  • Must have good math skills, specifically the decimal system
  • Repetitive pushing/pulling with frequent grasping, fine manipulation as well as foot use to operate controls
  • Frequently lifting/carrying objects up to 50 lbs.; rarely lifting/carrying objects up to 75 lbs.
