CNC Machinist


  • Minimum 3 years of independent CNC machine setup experience.
  • GD&T proficiency — Strong ability to read and interpret GD&T, blueprints, and detailed manufacturing drawings.
  • Set up and operate 3‑, 4‑, and 5‑axis CNC lathes and mills for complex aerospace and precision‑machined components.
  • Blueprint interpretation — Read and interpret engineering drawings, customer specifications, and GD&T feature callouts to ensure accurate machining.

Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all quality and safety codes.
  • Ensure all machinery is in proper working condition.
  • Create CNC programming for fabrication and machining.

  • Operate and maintain CNC lathes, mills, and/or gear grinders, as well as hand and power tools as required.
  • Set up CNC machines independently with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Interpret GD&T, blueprints, and manufacturing drawings to ensure proper machining operations.
  • Select tooling, determine speeds/feeds, and establish machining strategies.
  • Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, comparators, and thread plug gauges to verify part quality.
  • Apply Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) throughout all production activities.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize processes for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain workflow and meet production goals.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety‑focused work environment.


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma.
  • CNC machining experience.
  • Machine shop environment background.
  • Blueprint reading skills.
  • Basic hand tool knowledge.
  • Minimum 3 years of CNC machine setup experience without supervision.
  • Skilled in operating CNC machinery, tooling, and precision measurement tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
  • Experience operating CNC turning, milling, grinding, and gear‑shaping equipment.
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
  • Ability to perform emergency/unscheduled repairs during production and scheduled maintenance during machine service.
