  • 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
2nd Shift CNC Setup Technician - Lathes
  • Monday-Friday
  • 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking skilled CNC Setup Technicians - Lathes to join a growing manufacturing team in Rockford, IL. These Direct Hire opportunities are ideal for experienced CNC professionals who can perform machine setups, interpret technical drawings, and ensure parts meet quality specifications.
Responsibilities
  • Perform setups and changeovers on CNC lathes.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Verify part dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring instruments.
  • Troubleshoot setup and machining issues to maintain production efficiency.
  • Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments.
  • Conduct quality inspections throughout the production process.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety and quality standards.
Qualifications1st Shift CNC Setup Technician - Lathes
Required:
  • CNC lathe setup experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Experience with Mazak and/or Fanuc controls/programming.
  • Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
2nd Shift CNC Setup Technician - Lathes
Required:
  • CNC setup experience.
  • Some roll thread experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
