Job Title: Entry-Level CNC Machinist
Job Description

This entry-level CNC machinist position focuses on operating machining equipment in a manufacturing environment. You will support production by running CNC mills and lathes, assisting with machine setup, and contributing to high-quality, efficient machining operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines, including mills and lathes, to produce parts according to specifications.
• Assist with machine setup, including loading tools, fixtures, and materials as directed.
• Monitor CNC machine operation and make basic adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Follow production instructions, blueprints, or digital programs to ensure accurate machining.
• Support basic programming tasks under guidance, using tools such as SolidWorks and Mastercam where applicable.
• Inspect parts during and after machining to verify dimensions and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in the manufacturing facility.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working with CNC machinery and related equipment.

Essential Skills

• Ability to operate CNC machines, including mills and lathes, in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic understanding of CNC machine operation and machining processes.
• Capability to assist with machine setup, including tooling and workholding.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions and production specifications.
• Willingness to learn programming concepts related to CNC machining.
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to manufacturing procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with CNC programming concepts is beneficial.
• Exposure to SolidWorks and Mastercam is an advantage.
• Interest in developing skills in machine setup and programming over time.

Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing facility that focuses on machining operations, including CNC mills and lathes. You will work around CNC machinery, tooling, and related equipment, following standard manufacturing schedules and safety practices.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clinton, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
