We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service that sets us apart. To maintain this standard, we seek enthusiastic, service-oriented professionals with strong communication skills who go above and beyond to create unforgettable guest experiences. We offer below-market housing and three complimentary meals daily.


Working Environment: Working Ranch & Guest Hospitality

OBJECTIVE

The Trail Crew Member is responsible for maintaining ranch trails, roads, irrigation systems, and outdoor infrastructure while supporting seasonal snow removal operations. This position helps ensure ranch property remains safe, functional, and well maintained for guests and staff throughout the year. The role requires operation of various equipment, irrigation maintenance and repair, trail improvement, and winter snow removal.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Trail Maintenance

  • Maintain and improve ranch trails, roads, bridges, fences, and outdoor recreation areas.
  • Perform routine trail maintenance, including grading, drainage improvements, erosion control, brush removal, and debris cleanup.
  • Assist with the construction and repair of trail infrastructure, signage, gates, and other outdoor amenities.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor trail conditions and report safety hazards or maintenance needs.

Irrigation System Maintenance

  • Troubleshoot irrigation issues and perform necessary repairs to ensure proper system operation.
  • Adjust irrigation schedules based on weather conditions, seasonal changes, and operational needs.
  • Monitor water usage and assist with water conservation efforts.
  • Maintain irrigation equipment and keep accurate maintenance records.
  • Assist with drainage improvements and water management projects.

Snow Operations

  • Operate snowmobile and trail grooming equipment to maintain ranch trail system.
  • Operate snowplows, loaders, skid steers, tractors, and other equipment to remove snow from roads, parking areas, pathways, and ranch facilities.
  • Monitor winter weather conditions and respond to snow events as directed.
  • Apply sand, gravel, and de-icing materials to maintain safe travel surfaces.
  • Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of snow removal equipment.

Equipment Operation & Maintenance

  • Safely operate trucks, tractors, UTVs, skid steers, loaders, excavators, and other ranch equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs on assigned equipment.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and promptly report equipment issues.
  • Keep tools, vehicles, and work areas clean, organized, and in safe working condition.

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support special projects and ranch events as assigned.
  • Follow all ranch safety policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to support ranch operations and guest experiences.
  • Assist with emergency response and weather-related operational needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.




Requirements:

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in trail maintenance, irrigation, agriculture, construction, snow removal, or a related field preferred.
  • Working knowledge of irrigation systems, repairs, and troubleshooting preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate and maintain equipment.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and terrain.
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift up to 75 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to walk, climb, bend, kneel, and work on uneven terrain.
  • Ability to operate equipment for extended periods.
  • Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, precipitation, and seasonal weather conditions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is primarily performed outdoors and requires work in all weather conditions throughout the year, including snow, rain, heat, and cold. The schedule may include weekends, holidays, early mornings, evenings, and on-call response during snow events or emergencies.
