Job description

One Tech Engineering is searching for an E&C Engineer for a position located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The E&C Engineer will provide mechanical and electrical engineering support for natural gas and thermal power generation projects.

The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate should have 8โ€“10 years of experience, preferably with power plant design, construction, owner/operator, or EPC firms.

E&C Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Oversee power plant design, construction activities, and engineering deliverables.
  • Review submittals, designs, and construction documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards.
  • Coordinate with internal engineering teams, contractors, and vendors to resolve technical issues.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, and progress tracking to ensure timely completion of engineering tasks.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout design and construction phases.
  • Participate in design reviews, field inspections, and commissioning activities as needed.

Requirements of the E&C Engineer:

  • 8โ€“10 years of experience, preferably in power plant design, construction, or with an owner/operator or EPC firm.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
  • Experience in power generation, particularly combustion turbine plants.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, but not required.
  • Familiarity with construction environments.
  • Instrumentation and controls experience is a plus.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
