POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Feliciano School of Business at Montclair State University invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track Real Estate Teaching Faculty Position starting August 28, 2026.

Ideal candidates for this position will have both professional experience in the commercial real estate field and teaching experience at the university level. Preference for this position will be given to candidates who can demonstrate teaching/professional experience in courses such as Real Estate Principles, Real Estate Finance and Investment, Real Estate Development, and Real Estate Asset Management.Applicants should possess knowledge of current best practices in the real estate industry. Preference for this position will be given to candidates who can also coordinate the Real Estate program by organizing, directing, and promoting the program.

The candidate selected will be expected to teach courses at undergraduate and graduate levels in both face-to-face and online delivery modes. The candidate is expected to advise the Real Estate Competition Team, which competes against other university teams; advise and mentor students; engage in outreach activities with the local business community; and participate in innovative curricular development activities.

The positionis a two-year, ten-month,non-tenure trackappointment, with eligibility for reappointment based on established NTTP procedures.TheUniversity is committed to the success of Teaching Faculty through opportunities for promotion and professional development to support long-term success and flourishing at the University.

Nearly 105 full-time faculty and 35 staff members bring an impressive range of expertise to the School, with terminal degrees and advanced training from leading universities. The Department of Accounting and Finance offers a BS in Accounting and a BS in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Real Estate Finance, a minor in Finance, and four graduate certificate programs in Real Estate Development, Accounting, Forensic Accounting, and Professional Accounting. QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates must hold a master's degree in real estate or finance, or a related field, with extensive practical experience in the commercial Real Estate sector and exhibit potential to maintain professional relevance and currency and have teaching expertise in a variety of Real Estate courses. Preference will be given to qualified candidates who have experience and expertise in developing, evaluating, and revising business curriculum. Demonstrated excellence in teaching Real Estate courses, evidenced by peer and student evaluations, and corporate or consulting experience in U.S. organizations is also preferred.

SALARY RANGE:$110,000 to $150,000

STARTING DATE:August 28, 2026
