Hours: Monday-Friday 5:30 AM–2:30 PM

Position Overview

Our client, a manufacturer of precision aircraft components, is seeking an experienced Brake Press operator to support their production team. This Brake Press role is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC press brakes to form high-quality sheet metal parts used in aerospace applications. The Brake Press position requires hands-on programming experience and a strong understanding of blueprint interpretation and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

• Prior experience operating and programming CNC press brakes
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Knowledge of bend allowances, bend deductions, and material properties
• Experience working to tight tolerances in a precision manufacturing environment
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools

Key Responsibilities

The Brake Press role includes the following duties:

• Program, set up, and operate CNC press brake machines to form aircraft components
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate bends and dimensions
• Select appropriate tooling, dies, and materials for each job
• Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks
• Adjust programs and machine settings to maintain tight tolerances
• Follow all quality, safety, and production procedures required in an aerospace manufacturing environment
• Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and quality teams to meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace or aircraft component manufacturing
• Familiarity with AS9100 or similar quality systems
• Experience with common press brake controls (Amada, Trumpf, Bystronic, or similar)
