Brake Press Operator

Location: South Bend, IN
Shift: 1st Shift – 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Overtime as needed)
Pay: Starting at $21.00 per hour (negotiable based on experience)

Job Summary

Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We're seeking a Brake Press Operator to join our team in South Bend, IN. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, operating brake press equipment to produce precision metal components while maintaining quality and safety standards. Experience with Bystronic brake press machines is a major plus.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Brake Press Operator, your core responsibilities will include:
-Operating brake press equipment: Set up and operate brake press machinery to bend and form metal parts according to specifications and production requirements.
-Reading blueprints and measurements: Interpret part prints and use calipers and measuring tools to ensure finished products meet quality standards and tolerances.
-Monitoring production quality: Inspect completed parts for accuracy and consistency while making machine adjustments as needed.
-In addition, you will also be expected to maintain a clean and safe work area, follow all company safety procedures, and assist with general production tasks as needed.

What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:

Qualifications:
  • Previous brake press operating experience preferred
  • Experience with Bystronic brake press equipment is highly preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints and part prints accurately
  • Basic computer skills for operating brake press systems
  • Ability to lift materials and work safely in a manufacturing environment
Skills:
-Precision Measurement: Ability to use calipers and measuring tools accurately to verify product dimensions.
-Mechanical Aptitude: Comfortable operating machinery and making basic machine adjustments.
-Attention to Detail: Ensures all formed parts meet quality and production standards.
