Description & Requirements
Challenging. Surprising. Fast-paced. Purposeful. Life at Bloomberg is many things, but it's never dull. We're a truly global business with a truly diverse workforce. We pride ourselves on being open, inclusive and collaborative, providing a work environment that inspires our employees to be their best. At Bloomberg, we work on purpose. All of us engage in meaningful work, delivering leading edge products and solutions that shape the industry and are critical to our customers. You'll also get to work at a company that lives its values and provides employees with opportunities to give back. Whether you thrive on the energy of a newsroom, the pace of a trading floor, or the buzz of a recent tech breakthrough, we'll give you more than a job. We'll give you the opportunity to do amazing work you couldn't do anywhere else.
Our Team
Bloomberg's clients and prospects are concerned about the potential exposure of their private data, disruptions to key operations, the growing risks tied to financial crimes, and the evolving questions raised by artificial intelligence. The Business and Client Risk Engagement team brings transparency to Bloomberg's risk management and security practices - spanning information security, operational resiliency, financial crimes compliance, and AI governance - to earn and keep client trust so they renew and expand their use of Bloomberg's offerings.
On our team you'll focus on developing and facilitating client communications around our Risk and Security practices. Colleagues will depend on you as part of their sales strategies and request-for-proposal efforts. You'll develop relationships with risk professionals at our biggest clients, as an adjunct to the sales and support groups that keep our business growing.
What's The Role?
The risk landscape never stands still. You'll be joining a fast-paced environment where the work you do is critical to Bloomberg's growth - fielding complex client inquiries, shaping our response library, and influencing how Bloomberg communicates its security posture and resilience capabilities to clients. The subject matter spans virtually every business unit across the firm, and the learning is continuous. This is a meaningful opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders and make a visible impact on client relationships.
We'll Trust You To:
  • Complete Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) for existing clients and prospects in a thoughtful, accurate, and timely manner
  • Respond to a high volume of client requests through written documentation, phone, and in-person meetings, including detailed, accurate answers about our security practices and controls
  • Research, write, and secure approvals for new and improved content in our response library
  • Identify potential gaps in policy, procedure, and workflow and propose practical improvements
  • Liaise across business lines to influence strategies that strengthen Bloomberg's risk controls, informed by assessment findings
  • Work both independently and collaboratively to generate creative, well-reasoned solutions under pressure and against hard deadlines

You'll Need To Have:
  • Strong knowledge of information security, operational resiliency, financial crimes, AI technology, and associated risks, including an understanding of existing and upcoming regulations and their potential impact on the company and its clients
  • Ability to understand and respond to RFPs, RFIs, and DDQs, using existing documentation to craft accurate, complete answers
  • Broad risk management exposure in financial services, FinTech, or related industries
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate complex concepts for senior management and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated analytical capabilities applied to operational challenges and problem-solving
  • Tested project management skills, with a track record of managing multiple concurrent projects against variable deadlines
  • Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and at times with limited information
  • Client-facing attitude, technical aptitude, and a genuine interest in problem-solving
  • Working understanding of Jira or similar project management platforms
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg's products and services

We'd Love To See:
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools for information gathering and developing solutions
  • An interest in cyber security, operational resiliency, and emerging technology
  • Creativity and a strong sense of curiosity
  • Ability to foster a strong internal network and collaborative working style
