About the Role
The Business Translator plays a critical role in Solenis's AI for Growth program by ensuring AI-driven sales insights are successfully activated within commercial teams to deliver measurable business impact. Acting as the bridge between commercial leadership and data science, this role is accountable for translating AI model outputs into actionable commercial initiatives that accelerate sales funnel velocity and revenue capture.
This position focuses exclusively on AI-prioritized growth opportunities, working closely with commercial leaders to embed insights directly into sales workflows, tools, and decision-making processes. The role does not perform data science or digital marketing work; instead, it ensures that AI investments translate into adoption, momentum, and tangible results at the commercial frontline.
Key Responsibilities
  • Translate commercial strategy and business priorities into clearly defined, high-value AI and analytics use cases
  • Drive adoption and activation of AI-powered sales opportunities across commercial teams
  • Facilitate structured working sessions with commercial stakeholders to validate insights, gather feedback, and refine use cases
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing leaders to embed AI insights into commercial processes and tools, including Salesforce workflows, win-rooms, campaign planning, seller action lists, and funnel prioritization
  • Lead global change management efforts to ensure AI-enabled tools and processes are consistently adopted and embedded into day-to-day selling activities
  • Collaborate closely with Data Science and Analytics teams to:
    • Sequence and prioritize initiatives aligned to commercial value
    • Support model testing, validation, and refinement cycles
    • Translate analytical outputs into business-relevant insights for commercial execution
  • Measure success based on adoption, funnel velocity, and revenue impact tied directly to activated insights

What Success Looks Like
  • AI-driven insights are actively used by commercial teams, not just delivered
  • Sales opportunities move faster through the funnel with improved velocity and conversion
  • Commercial leaders trust and rely on AI-enabled insights for prioritization and decision-making
  • Measurable revenue impact tied to activated AI use cases

Qualifications & Experience
Required Qualifications
  • 5-8 years of commercial experience within B2B, industrial, or specialty chemical environments
  • Proven experience working within or closely alongside sales organizations and commercial leadership
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, funnel dynamics, and commercial operations
  • Experience operating at or above an Area Manager level or equivalent seniority
  • Ability to influence and drive change across commercial teams without direct authority
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex analytical or technical outputs into clear commercial actions

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within Solenis or related organizations such as Heritage, Diversey, NCH, or Chem-Aqua
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled sales tools, advanced analytics, or model-driven decision support
  • Experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
  • Exposure to marketing strategy, product management, or commercial enablement functions
  • Understanding of sales funnel analysis and opportunity velocity metrics

Who This Role Is For
This role is ideal for a commercial leader with strong business acumen who is energized by operating at the intersection of advanced technology, strategic marketing, and frontline sales execution. You are comfortable working with AI-powered insights without needing to build models yourself, and you thrive on turning insight into action and impact.
