Job description

Intern Position

Under supervision of the Customer Services and Systems Manager, responsible for the compilation of data and analysis of such data; performs technical and professional work in conducting various business analysis and forming recommendation on actions related to clean up of or confirming data; coordinates various tasks with other District staff; and performs other related work as required.

Examples of Duties
  • Conducts research, data analysis, and forms recommendations for operational and administrative programs.
  • Performs and manages data collection, compilation, coordination, and organization.
  • Conducts data evaluation, data analysis, and database development and maintenance.
  • Uses an on-line computer system to enter and research customer information, prepare reports and analytical information, create or update master customer account files, and related meter records; creates work orders for field personnel.
  • Performs other related work as required.
Typical Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business Analytics, Business Administration, Management Information Systems (MIS), Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities, with a strong interest in data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information and findings in a clear, concise, and visually effective manner.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and business processes.
