Job description

JOB SUMMARY

The Business Sales Associate is responsible for supporting the sales cycle while rapidly developing the skills to close new business. This role focuses on high-volume prospecting, building a foundational understanding of Fiber Optics products, and identifying new customer opportunities. The Business Sales Associate is expected to quickly transition into a producing role, securing new customers through direct sales while working under direct supervision.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop a technical familiarity regarding all EPB commercial fiber optics products and services.
  • Spend the majority of every day finding new potential customers, using available tools and lists.
  • Perform Client Needs Analysis (CNA) and present solutions for basic fiber products.
  • Assist in maintaining records and gathering contract dates from prospects.
  • Learn to utilize EPB demonstration rooms and materials to formally present technology and communications solutions in the most professionally advantageous environments that create a superior customer experience.
  • Work with the Sales Technical Advisor to assist in surveys and information gathering.
  • Have awareness and knowledge of competitive products and services.
  • Identify and report monthly recurring contact, billing, product, and other errors discovered in the re-contracting process.
  • Identify customers using outdated products while researching prospect lists.
  • Observe and participate in one-on-one networking and groups to discover new presentation opportunities.
  • Maintain a formal and ongoing customer resource management (CRM) record of customer activity.
  • Create thorough and precise sales notes to ensure that products and services can be accurately installed in a timely and error-free manner, resulting in an excellent customer experience.
  • Work with all appropriate parties and departments, as required, to ensure efficient, courteous handling of requests, billing/services problem resolution, customer service issues, and product questions.
  • Adapt to new technologies, products, and services in an aggressive time period.
  • Collaborate with the Business Sales Executives to create efficient workflows to increase customer facetime, presentation opportunities, and monthly sales.
  • Assist in any special projects assigned by the supervisor or manager.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • Excellent analytical skills are required.
  • Familiarity with technology, telecommunications, and consumer electronics is required.


CERTIFICATIONS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • Possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in state of residence and demonstrate safe and responsible operation of motor vehicles.
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment--successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong people skills and proficient written and verbal communication skills are imperative. Must possess and exhibit a professional image and demeanor.
  • Ability to maintain a productive, organized, proactive work style while managing a heavy workload.
  • Well-developed decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills.


May perform other duties as assigned.
