Job description

Salary:

This role is responsible for translating data insights into a strong value proposition for our stakeholders. By providing technical guidance, developing tailored reports, and building customized dashboards, you will help new users navigate the onboarding process more effectively and enable existing users to optimise their use of Krux software. You will ensure customers continue to get the most value from Krux.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Use drilling data to create Power BI reports and dashboards that identify opportunities to improve clients drilling efficiency.

  • Collaborate directly with customer stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into executable workflows and reporting tools that provide data driven insights.

  • Integrate reliable data from multiple sources, ensuring data quality and consistency, providing a unified view of the organization to support operational decision making.

  • Support implementation and onboarding of new clients to ensure a seamless transition to Krux software.

  • Support both new and existing users by sharing best practices that help teams quickly maximize the value of the software, embedding Krux into their daily workflows and driving long-term adoption.

  • Provide regular proactive support for our largest clients, ensuring ongoing alignment and success. Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in data analytics and visualization to continuously improve processes and solutions.

  • Submit development tickets for identified bugs, client requests, recommendations or improvements based on client and data trends.

  • Support business development teams providing technical guidance and recommendations for new and existing customers, including software overviews and capabilities, implementation best practices, reporting options.

  • Collaborate with the sales, customer success, product and delivery team as needed.

  • Work closely and collaboratively with our IMDEX colleagues.

  • Document and track client interactions within our CRM and ensure that support tickets are kept current and up to date.


Education & Training

  • Preference for bachelors degree in Geology, Engineering, Data Management or other related field; will consider other relevant industry experience and combination of education and experience.

  • Training or certification in Power BI software tools is an asset.


Knowledge & Experience

  • 7+ Years of experience within the drilling, mining, or oil and gas industry.

  • 3+ years in report creation/dashboard development including an understanding of data visualization best practices and principles.

  • Knowledge of CRM system (Hubspot or other).

  • Intermediate to expert knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Experience in communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience in distilling large amounts of data into key insights and manageable pieces of information.

  • Demonstrated experience in building client relationships, understanding their specific needs and managing expectations.

  • Customer support, sales and related experience is an asset.

Working Conditions

Work Environment/Location

Canada or USA, preference for those located in Mountain, Pacific, or Central Time Zones; open to other locations based on experience and candidate (hybrid work policy may apply after probation period); up to 30% travel required, including overseas.
