Job description

We have an Excellent Contract position for a Business Process Mapping Engineer to join a leading Company located in the Sterling Heights, MI.

**US Citizenship is required.**

The Business Process Mapping Engineer position aligns with our efforts to move to a Digital Enterprise by modeling the link between all business processes. The ideal candidate for a Process Mapping Engineer role should have a strong background in engineering, a passion for process improvement, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. They should also possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.

Responsibilities:
  • Map business processes both within and across multiple cross-functional departments, including engineering, finance, manufacturing, and supply chain
  • Creating process maps and flowcharts to help visualize and understand the process, including activities, roles and responsibilities, data, and tool/software usage
  • Collaborating with various business units, stakeholders, and team members to gather process information and requirements
  • Assessing existing business processes and driving process improvements by identifying areas for waste, redundancy, or lack of clarification
  • Designing efficient and effective business processes that meet the business needs and objectives
  • Assist in the successful deployment of the process changes to the business, including communication, training, and after deployment feedback
  • Training and guiding staff members on new processes and procedures
  • Monitoring and analyzing the effectiveness of new processes and making adjustments as necessary
  • Maintain process models in a configuration control environment
  • Act as a subject matter expert in helping to move business from a digital process environment to digitalizing all business processes together within an enterprise-wide integrated state
  • Ensuring all business processes comply with industry regulations and standards

Basic Hiring Criteria:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a relevant equivalent field
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent oral and written communications
  • Our ideal candidates are familiar with business process modeling techniques and have hands-on experience with process improvement projects
  • Proven work experience as a Business Process Engineer or similar role
  • Experience with business process mapping and modeling
  • Knowledge of business process management principles and best practices
  • Process gap identification and process flow optimization recommendation experience
  • Proven experience in mapping processes to roles and responsibilities, to tools, to data flow
  • Experience using digitalization mapping tools such as Prime BPM
  • Experience leading Kaizen events
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Desired Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a relevant equivalent field)
  • 10 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with structured problem-solving techniques
  • Knowledge of technical requirements and systems relevant to Combat Vehicles
  • Knowledge of metrics related to Agile and use of them to report back to team members at all levels
  • 1+ years of Scrum/Agile management
  • In-depth knowledge of Engineering and/or manufacturing environments
  • Experience with project management
