What is the opportunity ?

This role supports the Business Management team for Business and Client Service Technology in running an efficient, transparent, and controlled delivery organization, overseeing the IT portfolio, and driving continuous improvement.

Participates in activities required to establish new business processes, and facilitates the application of new technologies to existing business processes. Applies experience and seasoned knowledge, skills, and practices to perform a variety of assignments.

This role reports to the Director, Business Management within the Corporate Banking, Operations and Supervisory (CBOS) team in Quantitative and Technology Services (QTS). As part of this team, you will be a key player in helping deliver insights to CBOS team and various stakeholders by providing inputs into processes and helping prepare reporting insights. This role is responsible for helping our team manage its day-to-day Business Management functions, operations and help deliver strategic priorities for the group and provide senior leadership the monthly reports/KPIs that are needed

What will you do?

  • The position leads the business management function within Business and Client Service Technology (BCST) and manages all aspects of the IT planning process, including development, maintenance, NIE, strategy, and communications.

  • The manager develops, provides, and monitors metrics for the BCST group, identifying gaps and recommending process improvements.

  • This role is critical in driving the annual work plan across multiple global IT teams and coordinating control functions for projects and the overall BCST group.

  • Additionally, the position oversees the BCST project onboarding process and related project and financial governance activities.

  • In this role, you will communicate and interact frequently with RBC partners and/or employees located across Canada and/or worldwide

What do you need to succeed?

Must-Have

  • 2-5 years of work experience (preferably in banking)

  • Undergraduate Degree (preferably in Business or related subject matter)

  • Excellent proficiency with MS Office Programs (Power Point, Excel, Outlook, and Word) and Tableau (heavy emphasis on the Excel and PPT)

  • Analytics skills and presentation skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • Experience in forecasting / budget planning

  • Willing to work late hours when required

Nice to have:

  • CPA or any other designation

  • Capital Markets knowledge

  • Coding / or any other related language
