Position: Assistant Operations Officer
Position Location / Hours
Citizens Bank - Tualatin Branch
Hours: Full-Time (40 hrs/week)
Classification: Exempt/Officer
Reports to: Branch Manager
Description:
As a Citizens Bank Assistant Operations Officer you will work closely with the Branch Manager, Operations Officer, and Commercial Lending Team to attain branch and bank goals. You will work as a team member responsible for meeting exceptional customer service standards along with operational soundness and revenue generation. You will be working with all groups in the commercial banking office to ensure smooth and efficient operations. You will also be responsible for helping maintain strong long-lasting relationships with customers through professional service and engagement.
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Operations / Branch Support:
  • Provide operational support to branch manager, operations officer, and/or other branch employees.
  • Resolves customer inquiries or concerns.
  • Work with customers to support setup and troubleshooting of Cash Management, Remote Deposit, Online Services, etc.
  • Coordinate and participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of branch and central operations procedures.
  • Perform new accounts duties as needed to support branch and customer needs.
  • Willingness to operate a cash drawer if needed to support branch and customer needs.
  • Willingness to learn all aspects of branch operations.
  • Proficient in balancing cash and assisting tellers in balancing and branch cash.
  • Compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and other banking regulations.
  • Supervise, coach, onboard, and train members of the New Accounts team.

General
  • Maintain the safety, integrity, and confidentiality of customer information.
  • Help maintain a safe and secure work environment.
  • Build, develop, and maintain partnerships with teammates and other departments to maximize effectiveness and to best serve our customers.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Comply with all applicable policies and procedures as well as governing laws and regulations. This includes but is not limited to: performing all assigned duties under the Bank's compliance program and related laws and regulations. Successfully completing all mandatory compliance training including BSA and any other training as assigned in a timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Effective Communication Skills in writing as well as verbally, in-person, and via phone.
  • 2 years banking experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience operating Windows based PC.
  • Experience with Microsoft Applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with general office equipment such as copier, scanner, fax, 10-key, filing systems.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Credit Analysis Experience in a commercial banking environment.
  • Operations Experience with a commercial bank or credit union.
