Residency All applicants must currently reside in the United States Overview BigBear.ai is seeking a Senior Business Operations Manager who thrives at the intersection of customer success, government contracting, and program execution. This is an opportunity to play a key role in supporting and growing mission-critical programs, with a particular focus on law enforcement and federal civilian customers. You'll serve as a trusted partner to government customers and internal leadership, helping ensure programs have the right people, resources, funding, and operational support to succeed. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in federal contracting, program delivery, invoicing, staffing and hiring requirements, procurement, and contract administration, along with the relationship-building skills to work effectively with customers and cross-functional teams. What you will do * Gather, and manage requirements within various project parameters * Manage project planning, dashboards, weekly reporting, resource utilization (EACs and people plans), and metric reporting on all projects assigned * Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, facilitate procurement activities * Perform personnel assessments as related to project performance, and provide timely feedback to managers/supervisors * Maintain project schedule and review deliverables to ensure quality control * Liaise with program managers to ensure project delivery meets or exceeds customer requirements (cost, schedule, and performance) * Manage communication with project team, project stakeholders, and executive stakeholders * Track, manage, and forecast budgets, and procurement of software/hardware within project What you need to have * Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations, Contract Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience * 8+ years of experience in business operations, program operations, contracts, or a related role within the federal government contracting industry * Demonstrated experience supporting U.S. Government contracts, with a strong understanding of federal contracting processes and requirements; law enforcement or federal civilian experience preferred * Experience with LCATs, staffing requirements, government contract invoicing, financial operations, procurement, and vendor management * Proven ability to build strong customer and stakeholder relationships, communicate effectively, and collaborate across cross-functional teams * Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and business management tools What we'd like you to have * Experience supporting law enforcement or federal civilian agencies, preferably DHS, DOJ, FBI, DEA, ATF, CBP, ICE, USSS, or similar organizations * Experience supporting professional services, technology, AI, data analytics, cybersecurity, or mission support contracts * Familiarity with IDIQ, BPA, GWAC, and task order contracting, including contract modifications, option years, funding changes, and recompetes * Experience with proposal development, contract growth initiatives, ERP/workforce management systems, and programs requiring security clearances Pay transparency Please note the targeted compensation range is provided as an estimate, and any actual compensation offer may vary depending on the needs of the company, or an applicant's skillset, competencies, experience, education, certifications, location, or other factors.
