Overview

Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for a Business Operations Specialist in support of Special Operations Forces Acquisition, Technology and Logistics (SOF AT&L) Program Executive Office for Software Development & Acquisition (PEO-SDA).

PEO-SDA delivers operational software and digital platforms across multiple networks to automate complex SOF workflows and rapidly close capability gaps. By partnering with USSOCOM S&T and leveraging external investments and best practices, SDA matures and transitions emerging technologies into fielded capabilities while increasing SOF buying power. The organization operates in real-world exercises and experiments to ensure solutions work in complex operational environments, and it advances secure modern delivery through accredited DevSecOps infrastructure, rapid prototyping approaches, and a scalable digital ecosystem, intelligence, and mission command applications.

This is a full-time opportunity located at MacDill AFB, FL

Responsibilities
    Oversee collecting and analyzing data
  • Participate in collecting data requirements
  • Develop elements of program acquisition strategies
  • Support/conduct portions of market research
  • Keep program information current and organize data to submit to management for decision-making
  • Prepare reports and briefings on program status, policies and procedures, in support of acquisition program milestones
  • Determine requirements; develop goals and objectives to accomplish the mission of Program Support government counterparts to ensure execution of programs in accordance with plans, and to modify program policies and procedures based on changes to regulations.
  • Research ways to eliminate program bottlenecks and barriers to production; support government counterparts in development of solutions to program issues
  • Oversee the allocation of resources based on program requirements.
  • Analyze effectiveness and efficiency of program; develop recommendations to improve program operations.
  • Answer data calls and inquiries on program policies and procedures
  • Participate in requirements development process in support of Senior Managers and government counterparts.
  • Monitor programs to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Manage program cost, schedule, performance, and risks in accordance with policies and procedures; formulate proposed mitigations as necessary.
  • Coordinate program information with personnel.
  • Interpret regulations and directives to determine impact on programs.
  • Maintain broad understanding of assigned acquisition program; develop acquisition documentation to include SOW, PWS, SAMP, APB, ADM, CFDR, FDR, MFP, LCSP, ILSP program protection plans, and FM deliverables spend plans, Congressional Briefs, inter-department and agency funding transfers, and develop funding strategies addressing emerging requirements and budget challenges
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS w/SCI eligibility.
Certifications: DAWIA Practitioner Equivalency (DAWIA Level II equivalent) in Program Management or the ability to attain within 6 months of hire.
Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical field, business, or related field.
Years of Experience: Minimum 10 years working on federal government acquisition projects, including:

  • 10 years of software capability management expertise in USSOCOM operations.
  • 3 years working in the Intelligence arena
  • 3 years supporting software-intensive Program Management and/or DoD data management.
