Overview
Acuity, Inc. seeks a Business Analyst to support a federal client by analyzing business processes, defining requirements, and translating stakeholder needs into clear, actionable specifications. This role works with architects, team leads, engineers, testers, and stakeholders to support solution design, data quality validation, and delivery alignment.
The Business Analyst drives requirements clarity, manages documentation workflows, facilitates stakeholder communication, conducts gap analysis, and supports process improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze business processes, workflows, and user needs to define functional and operational requirements
  • Elicit, document, and refine business, user, and system requirements with stakeholders and technical teams
  • Translate requirements into technical specifications, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria
  • Support solution design by aligning business needs with technical approaches
  • Conduct gap analysis and recommend process improvements
  • Support data quality validation by defining business rules, validation criteria, and expected outcomes
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, reviews, and working sessions
  • Maintain requirements traceability and controlled project documentation
  • Support user engagement, feedback collection, and change communication
  • Validate delivered solutions against documented requirements and business objectives

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting technology, data, or software delivery efforts
  • Experience analyzing business processes and translating requirements into technical documentation
  • Experience developing user stories, process flows, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria
  • Experience facilitating communication across stakeholders, architects, engineers, and delivery teams
  • Experience conducting gap analysis and process improvement assessments
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting data, analytics, or cloud platform initiatives
  • Experience with data quality validation, business rules definition, or requirements traceability
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar workflow tools
  • Experience supporting federal or regulated environments

Clearance Requirement
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain U.S. suitability
