Job description


A leading robotics and automation organization is hiring a Business Intelligence Engineer. This role will support data-driven decision-making across teams responsible for developing, deploying, and operating advanced robotic systems.
In this role, you will build scalable reporting and analytics solutions, translate complex business and operational data into actionable insights, and partner with technical and business stakeholders to define metrics, improve visibility, and support strategic decisions. The position may be based in either Westborough, Massachusetts or North Reading, Massachusetts.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, data engineering, or a related field
Strong SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets
Experience building dashboards, reports, and self-service analytics solutions for business and technical stakeholders
Experience with data visualization platforms; Amazon QuickSight experience is highly preferred
Proficiency with Python or another scripting language for data analysis and automation
Experience developing and maintaining ETL or ELT pipelines and working with cloud-based data environments
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business questions into measurable data solutions
Desired Skills & Experience
Hands-on experience with Amazon QuickSight, including dashboard development, calculated fields, datasets, and permissions
Experience supporting robotics, automation, manufacturing, supply chain, or other hardware-focused organizations
Experience with AWS data services such as Redshift, S3, Athena, Glue, or related technologies
Knowledge of data modeling, dimensional modeling, and data warehouse best practices
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field

Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions that track operational, technical, and business performance
Partner with engineering, operations, product, and leadership teams to define KPIs, reporting requirements, and data standards
Write and optimize SQL queries, build reusable datasets, and develop data pipelines that support reliable analytics
Use QuickSight and other BI tools to create intuitive visualizations and enable self-service reporting
Analyze trends, identify performance gaps, and present clear recommendations that support robotics programs and operational decisions
