Details:
Power BI Developer
Location: Spring TX - Hybrid
Duration: 6-12 months
The Power BI Developer converts raw data into valuable and insightful dashboards, applications, and reports. Additionally, they offer design/solution consulting in Analytics and establish standards for the team. This role provides both functional and technical expertise in BI data management and business intelligence/application decisions.
Job Duties/Roles
  • Develop, maintain, and improve critical business intelligence (BI) solutions and applications using Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Offer design and solution consulting in analytics and business applications.
  • Provide expertise in data management, warehousing, and business intelligence, both functionally and technically.
  • Standardize internal BI processes and operations, such as deployments.
  • Mentor and guide team developers, setting standards and best practices.
  • Deliver products using various Power Platform tools and technologies.
  • Identify and engage in process improvement initiatives to enhance the internal customer experience.
  • Serve as the liaison between business stakeholders, developers, infrastructure teams, and project management groups.
  • Analyze data requirements, application and processing architectures, data dictionaries, and database schemas while designing, developing, optimizing, and certifying database designs to meet reporting needs.
  • Help monitor system performance, reliability, availability, and recoverability of the data warehouse environment.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required (KSAR)
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Power BI development
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Power Apps development
  • Highly proficient in Data Modeling, SQL
  • Highly proficient in developing solutions using Power Platform.
  • Experience in the Azure suite, such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Synapse is nice to have.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills consistent with a client group, including senior managers & executives.
  • Attentive to details
  • Highly proficient in translating complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Work efficiently with the data warehouse team to identify data dependencies and data requirements.
  • Experience in writing Complex DAX queries and functions.
  • Ability to manage highly confidential material.
  • Working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management System.

Experience:
  • Typically requires 8-10 or more years of experience in BI Development.
  • Required/Preferred Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a STEM field is preferred.
