\n ## Role Summary The Business Enablement Architect is a senior\-level individual contributor responsible for securely enabling business capabilities through intentional architecture, risk\-informed design, and governance alignment. This role operates at the intersection of business strategy, technology architecture, security architecture, and delivery execution-ensuring that new and evolving solutions align with enterprise standards while accelerating value delivery. ## Key Responsibilities ### 1. Technology & Security Architecture Leadership \- Act as the BU\-aligned Solution Architect, ensuring solutions are designed with security\-by\-design and security\-by\-default principles. \- Identify, assess, and articulate architectural and security risks across various domains. \- Co\-author secure solution designs with BU IT Delivery Architects. \- Partner with InfoSec, Platform, and Enterprise Architecture teams to ensure alignment with enterprise security standards. \- Provide documented security architecture input to support risk acceptance and mitigation planning. ### 2. Architecture Governance (ARB \/ SARB) \- Represent Business Enablement in Architecture Review Board sessions. \- Contribute to New Technology Reviews by evaluating architectural fit and security implications. \- Document decisions, conditions, and follow\-up actions from ARB\/SARB engagements. ### 3. InfoSec Deviation Form (IDF) & Risk Documentation \- Author and contribute to InfoSec Deviation Forms when solutions deviate from approved standards. \- Gather necessary information for IDFs and ensure appropriate stakeholder reviews. ### 4. Delivery Partnership & Enablement \- Partner with delivery teams throughout execution to interpret and resolve architectural intent. \- Engage vendors to validate architectural and security alignment with enterprise expectations. \- Identify process improvements and ensure their delivery. ### 5. Intake \/ Demand Shaping & Ways of Working \- Help shape demand early by engaging during intake to clarify scope. \- Support Agile Ways of Working: attending planning events and daily standups to monitor progress. ## Measures of Success \- Business initiatives progress with clear architectural intent and fewer surprises. \- Security risks identified early and managed intentionally. \- Delivery teams demonstrate increasing reuse of approved patterns and platforms. \- Quarterly and daily commitments completed on time as promised.
