Job Overview:
As a Business Development Lead, your role will entail identifying strategic business opportunities and devising plans to leverage them effectively. You'll spearhead efforts to grow our customer base, nurture partnerships, and propel revenue growth. This role not only involves expanding our customer base and fostering partnerships but also frequently offers opportunities to contribute to product development and collaborate with a team to solve challenging and cutting-edge engineering problems. You will work collaboratively with internal and external teams at all levels.
Duties and responsibilities as a Business Development Lead
  • As a Business Development Lead, you will provide support to the domestic and international business development strategy.
  • Provide support to the business development team in pursuing leads and managing customer relationships consistent with Swift's values, policies, and procedures. This includes managing relationships with partners and representatives.
  • Search for and evaluate new aerospace opportunities, to include R&D, composite manufacturing, engineering services, and UAS sales and services.
  • Maintain internal coordination between team members and other teams within Swift, such as Engineering, Program Management, Legal, and Finance.
  • Develop knowledge and a thorough understanding of all products and services and apply this knowledge to provide appropriate recommendations/ solutions that meet clients' requirements.
  • Participate in domestic and international trade shows and business development activities.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in technical field
  • 2+ years prior experience, preferably in an engineering, technical, manufacturing, or unmanned systems business development role or related field.
  • Domestic and international travel is required, driven by business development initiatives.
  • An enthusiasm for and broad knowledge of aerospace and UAS technology development.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills. The right person for this role can create well written business development products, like proposals, presentations, white papers, etc.
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment; ability to work well under tight deadlines and effectively interact with a wide range of people.

Must be "US PERSON" per ITAR and OPSEC requirements.
Working Conditions:
Office environment, indoors, air-conditioned, and occasionally maybe in an open shop or field environment. Periodic weekend or evening work is expected.
