Position Overview:

The Business Development Manager (BDM) for Laerdal Medical is responsible for driving strategic growth across Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs) and expanding Accelerate managed services adoption through highvalue partnerships. This role blends strategic account leadership, program development, and partnership expansion. The BDM will engage executives across IDNs, hospital associations, workforce development agencies, insurers, and grantmaking bodies to advance Laerdal's national priorities in patient safety, workforce development, and managed services.
The ideal candidate has a track record of engaging senior healthsystem leaders, performing complex needs assessments, driving multistakeholder initiatives, and managing enterpriselevel relationships. This role requires exceptional strategic communication skills, strong business acumen, and the ability to navigate complex organizational landscapes.

Responsibilities:

Strategic IDN Portfolio Leadership

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs).
  • Execute a comprehensive IDN strategy aligned with business priorities.
  • Build executive relationships and drive systemwide adoption of Laerdal solutions.
  • Collaborate with Territory Managers on joint account plans and pipeline progression.
  • Participate in business reviews to identify emerging needs and growth opportunities.

Accelerate Program Growth & Partnerships

  • Expand Accelerate program adoption through partnerships with hospital associations, workforce boards, grant agencies, and insurers.
  • Maintain a database of funding sources and develop new partnership concepts to support sales opportunities.
  • Align Accelerate solutions with statewide initiatives in workforce development and patient safety.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify hospitals suited for managed services deployment and support sales activation.

Requirements:

  • Ideal candidates must reside in the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest sales region
  • 7-10 years of sales experience across multiple market segments (healthcare, pharmaceutical, B2B).
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with proven ability to lead initiatives and teams.
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders such as marketing, product, finance, and operations.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding revenue and growth targets.
  • Ability to travel 50%.
  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to develop and execute complex account plans.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to drive sales growth through partnerships and program adoption.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify opportunities and align solutions.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000, additional $55,000 at 100% to plan
