Job description

About the Role:

As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at interface.ai, you'll be in charge of identifying, engaging, and qualifying new prospects at credit unions and community banks across the country. This is a high-impact role at a pivotal moment in our growth, and the right person will have a clear path to a closing role and beyond. If you're hungry, coachable, and ready to build something real, this is your seat.

What You'll Do:

- Execute high-volume outbound prospecting via email, phone, and LinkedIn to engage key decision-makers at target financial institutions

- Research accounts to identify the right contacts and craft personalized outreach that cuts through the noise

- Qualify inbound leads and route them to the right Account Executive with clear, actionable context

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in Salesforce and HubSpot to keep the team moving

- Collaborate closely with AE's on territory strategy, account targeting, and pipeline development

- Hit weekly and monthly activity, meeting, and pipeline targets, and raise the bar as you go

- Take ownership beyond prospecting: contribute to team projects, playbook development, and process improvements

What We're Looking For:

- 1+ years of BDR/SDR experience, ideally in SaaS, AI, or Fintech preferred

- Driven and startup-ready, you thrive in fast-paced environments and don't wait to be told what to do

- Eager to master the tools of the trade, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Outreach, and Salesforce are on your radar (or already in your toolkit)

- Self-sufficient with a strong sense of urgency - you're hardworking, humble, and hold yourself accountable

- Detail-oriented and big-picture mindset, relationship and trust builder

- A clear and compelling communicator, written and verbal, with consistent follow-through on every commitment

- A true team player, you collaborate across functions, contribute to shared goals, and want to own initiatives beyond your core responsibilities

- Flexible and coachable, you adjust quickly, take feedback well, and give it just as constructively

- Culture-first, you're energized by working alongside a tight-knit team that works hard and genuinely invests in each other's success

Why interface.ai:

- Real mission, real impact - you're helping credit unions and community banks compete in the age of AI, serving millions of everyday people

- Massive market moment - thousands of financial institutions still run on legacy systems; we're the modern alternative

- Career trajectory, BDRs at Interface.ai are on a clear path to AE roles as we scale our sales team

- A team worth joining - small, smart, and motivated; we work hard and take the culture seriously

- Competitive compensation - base salary + commission + equity in a Series A company with strong momentum!

Location: On-site, 5 days/week - San Francisco, CA (Financial District)

Compensation: Base Salary $60,000-$70,000 | OTE $120,000-$130,000 + equity

Benefits:

  • 100% paid health, dental & vision care
  • 401(k) match & financial wellness perks
  • Discretionary PTO + paid parental leave
  • Mental health, wellness & family benefits
  • A mission-driven team shaping the future of banking
