JOB PURPOSE:

Developing a strong culture of customer service is vital to the success of Development and Alumni Relations (DAR). The Development Project Coordinator participates in all fundraising activities and provides individualized support to DAR's Associate Vice President for Individual Giving. The individual will act as the nerve center for the Individual Giving Team.

NATURE AND SCOPE:

The Development Project Coordinator facilitates the daily activities of the Associate Vice President and supports the fundraising success of them and their teams by organizing daily activities, monitoring fundraising activities, managing communications and travel, scheduling, and completing administrative tasks as needed. Forward thinking is essential.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

This role manages busy executive calendars. Responsibilities include working daily with the AVP, aligning priorities and assignments, appointments and travel.

Core responsibilities include calendar and correspondence management, managing staff travel and expense reporting, assisting with scheduling and assembling donor packages for campus visits, special events and meetings.

To inform team performance monitoring, the role creates monthly fundraising reports and other database reports as needed while continually maintaining, updating, and correcting database records on behalf of the AVP, Individual Giving.

The role serves as a trusted resource to development colleagues and will conduct preliminary research on prospective donors. Additional responsibilities include initiating efforts to ensure donor documentation is submitted in a timely manner and provides a final review to documents being submitted by the AVPs for signature of the Senior Vice President.

  • Identify gaps and solutions for process & workflow challenges
  • Manage & coordinate communication for Associate Vice President
  • Coordinate with EA and other counterparts across the enterprise

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field or three (3) years of experience in an administrative position

  • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Database management experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Development Experience Preferred
  • C-Suite Experience Preferred
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Proficient in using Raisers Edge and other relevant tools for effective communication and data management
  • Willingness to potentially work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Willingness to travel 15% of the year as needed for events and campaigns

SALARY RANGE: $65,000 - $75,000
