Business Development Manager

We are growing!Project Cost Solutions, Inc. (PCS) is looking for a Head of Business Development to help us scale quickly and efficiently. You will be responsible for direct customer/client contact to acquire new business and develop existing business. This position will be responsible for managing and executing market and business development initiatives and projects across the U.S. You will develop business with a specific focus tied to our innovative, and collaborative cloud platform Construction Check.

We are looking for someone with experience selling professional services. You will operate as the primary point of contact with the customer or partner. In this role, you will identify and educate prospective new customers and partners on Construction Check, demonstrating the value of our cloud platform to sell and close business.

Business Development

  • Manage both our existing sales pipeline and develop new business opportunities.
  • Take a lead role in the development of proposals and presentations creating and nurturing new business opportunities and partnerships.
  • Hire, train, and manage a team of high-quality, educated Business Development Reps that work across the Commercial, Government, and Enterprise practice segments.
  • Initiate research in practice area verticals to identify opportunities and make contact with new customers or partners via networking to secure initial discovery meetings.
  • Ownership of the sales development funnel including process improvements and tool development to increase efficiency and reduce complexity.
  • Develop marketing and sales strategy and goals for practice areas in the government agencies, public & private industry, and professional service firms.
  • Assist with preparation of bids and proposals, bid strategy, and provide input into the request for response process.
  • Act as a storyteller to the target client, by showing the Construction Check advantage.
  • Help marketing curate materials for client outreach, business development, relevant expertise, and project execution.
  • Monitor and meet the established sales goals and provide for client follow-up process to funnel future leads.
  • Act as a key advisory to members of the Executive Team.
  • Drive transformation with work initiatives as well as state-of-the-art methodologies.
  • Build a team of business development and knowledge management specialists to support the business and future growth, in due course.
  • Coach, guide, and support to ensure that business development needs are fully met.
  • Participate in industry organizations, events, and trade shows.


YOUR SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree; MBA a plus.
  • 10+ years of Business Development, preferably with a SaaS offering, Technical Service, Marketing or related, with some experience leading direct reports is required.
  • Ability to work remote and reside in the US.
  • Experience in the construction industry is preferred.
  • Successful track record in a commercial role especially on new business development.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to sell and build internal/external networks.
  • Strong analytical and strategic skills combined with disciplined execution.
  • Proven project leadership skills in a complex and diverse environment.
