Position Summary...The Walmart Marketplace is a curated community of respected, professional sellers who offer only top-quality, authentic products and best-in-class customer service.What you'll do...The Manager, Business Development will be responsible for recruiting and launching our next generation of Marketplace sellers. You will work closely with the category seller growth teams to assess market opportunities + competitive trends and develop acquisition strategies to attract new accounts, expand assortment and increase inventory. This role is focused on recruiting the top eCommerce Marketplace sellers. You will manage the business development lifecycle from sourcing to transactability – ensuring our new sellers are fully equipped for immediate success. If you are “seller obsessed” and eager create new business opportunities and inventory acquisition strategies that drive sustainable revenue growth, this role is for you should have
  Minimum Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of successful sales/business development experience, preferably in e-commerce, marketplace or retail tech
  • Must know how to manage a Business development Pipeline
  • Must be very competent at utilizing a CRM. Preferably Salesforce.
  • 3-4 years’ experience in Channel Partnerships, Business Management, Product Marketing, Omni-Channel Merchandising, or a related area. E-commerce experience required.
  • Proven ability to build strong business relationships and influence senior stakeholders
  • Experience prospecting, qualifying, and cold-calling companies
  • Willing to travel to multiple Trade Shows during the year to meet with Sellers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Self-motivated and self-directed. Demonstrates initiative in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • Experience working with eCommerce used and refurbished sellers is a plus
