Job Summary:
The Manager, Business Development is responsible for leading a geographically distributed team of business development professionals focused on driving product acquisition into local facilities. This role emphasizes team leadership, coaching, and operational oversight while ensuring the team achieves sales goals, develops a robust pipeline, and executes the company’s sales strategy. While primarily focused on management, this role may occasionally engage directly in high-value deals to support the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of local business development representatives across multiple metro areas, fostering a high-performance, results-driven culture.
  • Set clear goals, monitor performance, and provide coaching to help team members maximize their potential.
  • Oversee pipeline development, deal progression, and revenue growth, ensuring the team consistently meets or exceeds targets.
  • Collaborate with operations, customer service, logistics, and other internal teams to ensure smooth intake of product and a seamless customer experience.
  • Support team members on complex or strategic deals as needed, providing guidance and hands-on expertise.
  • Understand local market dynamics, customer business models, and site capabilities to inform team strategy and priorities.
